rechargeable battery can be recharged whether its attached to the radio or not.
Use the included AA size battery tray to power your IC-M2A while the main
battery recharges. You can charge the battery at home, or you can option to
recharge your radio while in a car or in the boat.
The ICOM IC-M2A is an ideal radio to carry around with you. The
through-the-bottom mounted battery runs up the spine of the ICOM IC-M2A, for a
nicely weighted feel. For carrying on a belt, the IC-M2A sports a new carrying
clip design: Fast and easy to attach to a belt, the ICOM IC-M2A swings in the
clip's cradle as you move.

The IC-M2A is built waterproof to endure 1
meter depth for 30 minutes. (Equivalent to JIS waterproof specification grade
7.) Non-corrosive construction ensures reliable long life communication out on
the water.

Operation
Well spaced, clearly labeled switches on the front
panel provides easy one-hand access to frequently used functions. To access
secodary functions, just hold the each button for one second. The function name
is indicated beside each button in white lettering for easy recognition. The
IC-M2A does not require complicated operation to use it efficiently and its
maximum potential. The photo shows actual display
size.

Powerful 5W Output Power
The supplied BP-224 Ni-Cd battery
pack generates a powerful 5W of output power and provides 8 hours of typical
operating time*. For saving battery consumption, the output power can be
reduced to 3W or 1W. The BP-223 alkaline cell case is also available during

Desktop Charger Supplied
The BC-150 desktop charger is a simple drop-in charger. It has screw holes for
easy installation, and also a cradle to hold an unattached battery – You
can leave it alone to charge even in choppy seas. |
